While I was looking up Soosh in order to start this piece properly, I stumbled upon her video clips. If you've watched her work, you'll notice that it's like the fairytale of dreams was revived. With her voice as a part of tales, she creates it a full-rounded magical experience bringing her fairytale characters to life. We spoke to Soosh about the key to capture the smallest daily moments in her artwork

"Hello, I'm Soosh. I was born and raised in the company of people. I am not a part of any religious, ethnic, or national background, or anything else. I am spending my life looking at people, myself and others, diving deep into the particulars of each. This is a difficult path. I didn't choose it intentionally and yet I'm in it. In terms of the traditional art school I'm not a fan of any.

Though I'm aware there are various styles of painting and drawing that are referred to as styles, I have never given an ounce of thought about what kind of style my drawings would qualify as. If I would try to come up with a word to define the style, I would say it's something like a "fairytale realism" style. But speaking frankly, no style.

The key for me, as I see it, is to see using your heart as you can with your eyes. You may need some time to pay attention to the smallest of details, just like every other skill. You need to become quiet for some time and completely present in the present moment. Take note of what you are doing. Be attentive, and not hurry.

My primary interest has been always individuals. Their facial expressions as well as their imitations and gestures, their actions of kindness and their weaknesses - all of it's fascinating and interesting to me. Afterwards, it's just an issue of time, some pencils, and a few watercolours to get into and bring life to the everyday images printed on paper."
