Survive the perfection phobia: Learn from content creators
You've probably had a friend who could not be able to finish their project because they believed that everything had to be perfect. But, perfection doesn't exist (truly). As a result, the work you've done is left to be unfinished on their computers or at their studio. Some might consider your time is wasted since there is no way to take pleasure in what your creator has created.
Perfectionism can be a major obstacle for entrepreneurs and creators. In a research study conducted by Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, perfectionism can be linked with "feelings of inadequacy, guilt or guilt, indecisiveness, self-doubt, shame, as well as feelings of self-doubt." It is the reason why many people find it difficult to complete the task or project - this is known as "the perfection paralysis.". How do overcome it?
The process of letting off perfection and adjusting to meet a better standard of what you can share is not easy. For help in this process, we asked two expert knowledge creators to speak on their own experiences in overcoming perfectionism at a live summit held in August of 2022. Check out the YouTube video:
Before we begin to dive into the mysteries, we need to know our speakers:

What is the reason people get caught up in perfection?
What have you done to overcome your obsession with perfection?
Digital goods don't have to be flawless, but they do require a certain level of quality before they can be offered for sale. Are designers able to establish an acceptable level that is still suitable for their business and image?
Grace says:
"Consider whether it reflects the high quality of your content and information you're likely to give out? Does it convey a convincing story of the services you've got to give away? Then, of course, you must ensure when you're making a copy edit, you're using the highest quality audio and video. These are the things that can make the user experience as top-quality as it can be.
In the end, it's the most important thing is going to the next level. You don't need to have a really high end production crew to create an amazing video. It is possible to create a stunning video using your iPhone. Be sure that you're not surrounded by background noise and that the audio quality is excellent.
What's the first thing a knowledgeable creator could make to create their first digital product?
Steve says:
"I find that a lot of entrepreneurs are caught up in their messages and aren't thinking about the market. The question to consider is - do I have a potential market for my message? How do you decide if there's any potential market for your message?
It's actually quite easy - Ask specific questions such as:
- What's the challenge that my message or my passion can solve?
- Who's the cause and who needs this solution?
- Which are the people you're required to help?
- How do you discover these?
- What are they going to do in order to find you?
- What amount of money are they willing to invest?
- Why should someone choose you over all the alternatives available?
can help you get your knowledge out into the world (finally!)
