" Since its inception, Korma has led multiple classes per week, teaching dances that mix tradition West African dances with current dances that are modern and contemporary. When her studio was forced to close due to COVID-19 of COVID-19 Korma was initially hopeful that the upcoming performance with her dance group was going to go as planned so they decided to move the class online using Zoom. Then she realized that online classes might be an answer to her distant reality. "I looked for classes, and then began promoting online," says Korma. "I thought that there would be no one that would attend and I was hesitant to make an effort to show on time. It was quite surprising when everybody was signing in every time."

     1. Show yourself

When Korma first began online courses, Korma did not let her lack of experience with online classes stop her from jumping right into the water. "I worried that no one was likely to show up for my first class online, but I was determined that it would attend on time," Korma reminisces. Korma. "I took classes five days a week. My surprise was that students were always online." Through offering a safe place where her students can learn and practice dancing, Korma is able to connect her clients and bring them together no matter where they are in their dance training. "After the class, I could see happiness on the faces of the pupils and that's exactly why I'm here."

     2. Don't expect perfection.

"At the end of the day , my classes do not focus on the perfect," says Korma. "I ensure that my students know they are here to move and learn the new skills or to practice their old skills. If you can help them win and move and win, then they're winning." This is the same to entrepreneurs with small businesses. When you're planning to launch your virtual presence for the first time, understand that not everything will take place as expected, and it's okay. "Online appearances can be nerve-wracking at first However, they get better with practice," says Korma. "Try the first time in the presence of family members as well as close friends. "The most exciting aspect of this is that our offerings have the potential to reach larger numbers of students who are not from Minnesota as well as other places all over the world," says Korma.
