A domain for a website is the unique URL you type into your web browser to access a specific web page. A website URL has a couple of components:

Scheme or protocol

Subdomain

Domain name or second-level domain

Top-level domain (TLD)

Subdirectory path or Page route

A majority of users will be paying attention to their domain name, page path, and TLD. Your domain name is the unique identifier for your website ("" for .com) while the TLD is the domain extension (like .com, .net, or .org), and the page path represents the URL of your site (like "/blog" for .com/blog).
