Community organizer and skateboarder Briana King puts their passion for the sport they love and their community over all else. The path to a successful career based on those passions came organically for Briana due to the fact that, as they explain to their friends "I've been doing everything for passion and enjoyment, not simply because I wanted it to be an occupation of any kind."

Discover about how Briana makes use of its website and social media channels to remain connected to the skateboarding community online and offline.

Community building through products

For Briana the website displays all aspects of their business all in one location including skate events, merchandise to purchase, and hyperlinks to their active community of social media.

"It gives me an outlet to show my projects as well as future meetings," Briana states on their website, "but it also motivates me to look into new ways to think about ideas."

One of those ideas was to launch their online store, where they offer skate-related products. Briana believes that these items are yet another method of connecting with their customers--by offering their members of the community "something that makes them happy or make them smile."

Briana has also hired the services of a skateboarder to run their ecommerce operations. "I think we should be a part of the community in any way we can. All I do is to my local community."
