What is a mission-driven membership site

Communities with HTML0's can create A dynamic change in the lives of residents of the community. They can also start a domino effect of positive change throughout the world.

Why is a mission-driven membership useful

  • Increased profitsMembers who feel a part of something will spend more money, for a longer amount of time because of their emotional bonds and the common values that they share with their community.
  • The authenticity and the brandingBusinesses operating today do not have a place to hide and mission-driven member doesn't have to be anywhere!
  • Be successful while doing well- The paradigm is changing. Making money doesn't need to cost you the privilege in having an impact. Both are possible.

The best way to select the right mission

So, how do you pick your mission? Start by asking yourself 3 key questions. That was the recipe for my success after I set off on the journey of creating a mission-driven membership.

  1. What's your area of expertise?

It may be helpful starting with the sector that you are in. Are you employed in medical technology, law, real estate? No matter your industry you will have the initial clue to creating your mission-driven membership. Beginning with the field you are currently working in and also considering industries you have worked in before is an excellent beginning point to start with the knowledge you have already acquired. These are areas that you can leverage your expertise to start your path to developing a purpose-driven member.

2. What problem are people most likely to come to for solutions?

This is key to understanding what people think of your skills and expertise. Are you always getting questions about? What are people asking you in your workplace or emailing you LinkedIn messages about? What are the common queries you are responding to over and over again? It is what most the people need and will pay access for your expert tips.

As an example, I constantly received questions about my career journey as a woman in the industry of project management, how to connect with women of color and other women of color in the field, and also how to get the Project Management Professional (PMP(r)) Certification.

In the present, I am a member of the organization and have workshops on my professional journey and the experiences of many others women and women of color within the field. We can accelerate our progress as a community. We have women that find connections through our members directory, and coaches inside our membership, making sure that the women of our community get the assistance they require to obtain their certificates to meet their goals in career.

3. What field of study are you most interested in discussing your most?

This is an incredibly crucial problem! The majority of people focus on the topics that they talk about the most with regard to their area of expertise and connect that with their competence. Do not confuse what you're proficient in with the things you enjoy. It is my suggestion to build an uncompromising community around the area of expertise you're deeply passionate about, and on the topics that excite you the most.

In retrospection of the three questions What do the answers have in common? What topic lands on the chopping block of each of the responses? This is a crucial indicator of how to build the foundation of your organization's mission!

  Overcome challenges with easy-to-install applications

There are challenges to overcome when it comes to developing and building a mission-driven community starting from beginning from scratch. It is a blessing that the App Store is full of programs that have allowed me to create and maintain my group without difficulty.

  Community Box

One of the difficulties of building a community is nurturing friendships online. Community Box is one of the most effective ways to be in a position to let my women to be noticed and to connect with one another seamlessly. Community Box is an app accessible on the App Store. This app has helped women in my circle to build relationships, network with other women in the same niche, get mentorship and work together on projects. Women working in the project management industry in Atlanta can network, collaborate, or get advice from another woman who works in the field of project management in South Africa easily. The directory of members is one of the pillars of our vibrant community.

  PowerUps

Recently, I've been using a series of apps known as PowerUps developed by the expert Rob Galvin. The apps, specifically Ding, Flix, and plaYEAH! have allowed me to change the appearance and experience of my website as well as create personalized popup notifications for members. Utilizing Ding I ensure that users receive notifications that greet them by name, while also providing the most recent news from our community. plaYEAH! also helps me add celebratory message throughout the and helps my participants stay motivated throughout their journey of learning. Flix allowed me to display all of our courses like a Netflix dashboard--my members love it!

  Stunning

Retention of members is an important issue for any business that relies on membership. My members are busy professional women. Sometime they don't realize the fact that their credit cards have been canceled or the card that they have used is no longer working. With the Stunning app in the App Store, I'm able to retain additional subscriptions and monthly payments revenues by reminding my members to update their credit cards at the time their credit card has stopped working or before the credit card is due to expire. My members are alerted by email, text message and the display of a banner within my community regarding a payment action that needs to be taken.

Being a solopreneur, I need to be able to send automated messages to my clients about a missed payment, remind customers to change their details on payment, and send subscription emails in a timely manner. That's the reason Stunning is an important game-changer for my business--customer retention related to payment is significantly improved, and requires minimal effort from my side.

Building a mission-driven membership isn't as far out of reach as you believe. If you have the right goals, a learning platform like  or apps that help build your community, you can create a thriving business and change people's lives by launching a mission-driven membership website.
