Fantasy illustration The CreativeMindClass Blog
How would you describe your personal style?
It's somewhere in between stylized and real-life fantasy illustrations. I use a lot of colors that are muted and watery and prefer to use organicand flowing forms. My "style" as a fantasy illustration artist is heavily dictated by the colors I use and what subject matter that I decide to paint but not always the way the painting is done. I previously worked with a more linear approach, however I've been transitioning into a looser and more expressive style.

What's the secret in creating your fantasy art illustrations?
Then I'll go over them again until it appears to be closest to what I envision it in my head (within reason, otherwise I'd be able to spend months working on one painting). I strive to push my shapes and not settle for a mediocre picture. I'd rather spend a lot of time getting the dreamy illustration perfect than rush through it.

What are the best places to show your fantasy illustrations?
I'll be participating in the upcoming "Oceans and Currents" exhibit in Gallery Nucleus during July! In the meantime you can follow me on Instagram. There are prints available through my store Bandcamp if anyone would be in the market!
Additionally, I'm on Youtube as well as Bandcamp for those interested in the music I'm releasing and I'll release more tracks very soon.

The Background of Brigitte
I graduated in the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and I work currently in the field of entertainment art as conceptual artist and illustrator. Also, I have a ongoing innovative project called Pearl Farm that I create drawings. I write, and sing original songs.
The article illustrations are from my personal project, Pearl Farm. The story is my own, it follows a traveling musician named Vinny as well as her pet Ray Hubble as they make their way across the world called the Lofty Coastline.
