Fantasy illustration - The CreativeMindClass Blog

Mar 16, 2022

What would you say about your style?

It's somewhere between stylized as well as real-life fantasy illustrations. I rely on a variety of muted and aquatic color palettes and tend to draw organic and fluid forms. My "style" as an illustrator is heavily influenced by my color palette as well as the subjects I choose to draw but it's not necessarily how it's drawn. I was previously working with a much more straight-line approach However, I've switched to a more loose and artistic style.

What's the secret for drawing fantasies?

And then I'll look them over to make sure it's close to what I envision the image in my mind (within the reason that I wouldn't have to commit months working on one painting). I strive to push my lines and not settle for a mediocre picture. I'd prefer to spend lots hours trying to achieve my ideal fantasy picture rather than rush through the procedure.

How can viewers see your fantasies?

I'll be in the forthcoming "Oceans and Currents" show at Galerie Nucleus beginning July 1st! In the meantime I'll be available via Instagram. Prints are available for sale through my online store Bandcamp if anyone would be interested!

In addition, I'm available on YouTube as well as Bandcamp for people who want to find out more about the music I'm releasing, as I will make new tracks available very soon.

Brigitte's Background

I earned my bachelor's degree from The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and I'm currently working within the entertainment art, as a concept artist as well as an illustrator. Furthermore, I'm currently working on a innovative project named Pearl Farm, for which I design illustrations. I write, as well as sing my own songs.

The illustrations for the article were derived from my work, Pearl Farm. It's my original story and follows a travelling singer named Vinny as well as her pet Ray Hubble as they make journeys across the globe called"the Lofty Coastline.
