 If I could pick just one word to represent my style of drawing, it would be 'Spring'.

I would like people to look at my drawings and feel the way they're blossoming just like warm spring blossoming flowers.

Cottagecore is the life style I prefer and cherish. It could be because I'm from Seoul, a big city which is why I appreciate rural life and natural sceneries much more than what I take in every day.

Instead of expressing a sense of ferocity rather, I try to convey a serene and tranquil mood, like what I observe in nature.

 What's the secret for creating illustrations?

The first thing I'd like is to talk about my favorite things I find motivation in. I find joy in small items. The flowers I encounter in a flower garden or the whispers of a flower that flutter when wind blows, even a small bloom at the end of the street that I walk by as I walk.

My work is mostly in the style of small wildflowers. Natural landscapes from old botanical encyclopedias and rural landscapes are also a source of inspiration. I save a lot of content through pictures and usually take notes of coloring pencil concepts.

Secondly, let's talk about the method of working. I sketch to the degree of large-scale details as if they were actual flowers. I also express my feelings with the use of color.

I make use of sharp colored pencils with pointed tips to express the shape of the bloom. Then I create a relaxing warm and cozy atmosphere using pastel tones rather than bright hues.

I like also to juxtapose plain and textured paper together with the flower method of paper in order to give the impression of flowers blooming.

Instead of drawing just for fun instead, I believe that creating papers with flowers can create a greater sense of beauty. It's a more precise translation from my own imagination.
