A watercolor teacher - The CreativeMindClass Blog
"You'll frequently hear me sing variations of this phrase as I instruct: we go from large to small, meaning the larger brush is smaller brush, tight to loose and dark to light. It's key to begin with excitement and joy, following a loose plan but allowing the piece to speak directly to you in the direction it's telling you."
Painting tips for watercolors:
- Go from big to a smaller brush
- Move from loose movements to tight ones
- From light to dark colors

My story
"I was that shy girl at the middle of the class, nose deep in a sketchbook. Not much has changed since. There was a time when I felt a creative burnout, but having a baby brought me back to watercolor painting. I found myself back in the art world in a way of combining art with religious practice. I created "Watercolor Devo's." These works spurred me into being a creative educator and full time artist."

How would you describe your watercolor style?
"I cannot resist the fun, bold or bright pink. An element of old-fashioned quirk or tension visuals are often my focus as I'm working. But most of all I enjoy bringing all the best watercolor on the page--relishing in vibrant bleeds of bold hues."
