HTML0Which are some of the themes you see yourself repeatedly repeating in your work?
Mayumi Mayumi one of the themes that I often explore in my films is the quest for identity and is frequently associated with drama about family. I believe that the majority of my work focuses on relationships between people, which means that the relationships between families and people who live in different generations, cultures, or multi-cultural are kind of right up my alley.
What motivates you to persevere?
Mayumi Q one of the greatest features of film is the possibility of being utilized for the duration of a lifetime. You tell a story that can be described as an archive. And it will continue to exist in perpetuity, as people can sense how close you are to them. In my experience I've watched many films made ahead of my time which affects me. If I was a vehicle to make stories that could be told throughout the rest of my life, it was my goal after having made films that I really loved. I was thinking "Ooh I see much more there. It's more beyond just sharing my story of my passions."

Mayumi This was definitely an extremely exciting. This was a huge accomplishment for all involved because this film had an important public message and we'd all love for it to be seen by an audience. This is not just because we all invested an enormous amount of time and energy into the production as well, but because the message needed to be shared at the moment as well as. It was launched on the eve of Asian Heritage Month, so it's important to ensure that the viewers were aware of and absorbed the message. The team also did their part in promoting the message. I was really happy with this.
I was once a member of Staff Picks, and I was thinking "Oh this must be the cool group of people." It led me to think "Oh could it be me? Am I worthy?" Then I realize that it's all just amazing pals who have a great time. I'm happy to be a part of them.
